VICTORIA'S STORY
It was a cold and rainy day, when I was called to go pick up Tori. A lady said, "she found Tori in her back yard". For some reason I really did not believe the story. Tori was like velcro to the lady's leg. I took Tori straight to the Vet. There we found she was heartworm positive. We thought Tori had Demedex, but she had flea dirt and skin irritation. Tori needed alot of bathing, love and care. She is almost UTD on all her vaccines. Even with everything she has been through she is beautiful, loving and a sweetheart. Every morning when I let Tori out for her exercise, she sits up on her back legs in front of me so she can give me lots of kisses and I have to give her lots of of love back to. I can not tell you enough how much love this girl has to give. She just wants to please who ever is taking care of her. Gosh, I love this girl so much. At the present time we can not afford to treat her for heartworms.

UPDATE: Here are new pictures of Tori. Tori started her heartworm treatment today April 9, 2003. Tori is looking GREAT and ALL her hair has grown back. She is UTD on all her vaccines and will be spayed after her heartworm treatment. Tori will be ready for adoption the middle of May.

Update on Tori and HWT. Tori has not done well with her treatment. The morning April 26, 2003 at 5:18 a.m. Tori went to Heaven. Gosh, Tori was so loving and a very big part of our family. I don't think my heart could hurt anymore than it does at the present. I was and still am very close to Tori and she was very close to me. I feel totally lost without her and Johann, my rottie misses her very much too. They were best friends. I ask that you would keep our family in your prayers. Thank you.

Tori you were such a sweetheart. You had so much love to give and receive. You were taken from us by the very deadly desease, heartworms. 'Only God knows why'. Hopefully, by your tragic ending, may others see your Tribute Page and realize the deadly consequences of this dreaded desease and start their pets on heartworm preventative and through you may other loving Rotties like yourself be saved. You will be greatly missed. We love you very much.

Are you ready to come home?

And God asked the animal spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a pet, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the furry angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious pet
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.
